Rake Races & Rakeback
Online poker rakeback isn’t the only way to pad your bankroll based on the rake you generate at your favorite poker site. If you’re earning rakeback anyway, why not make a little competition out of it? After all, we poker players love a good challenge - and what better way than to join in a valuable Rake Race?
Rake Races are leader board competitions based on the rake you generate while playing online poker. The idea is to generate more rake than everyone else within a specific amount of time, such as a week or a month. The players who generate the most rake by the deadline share in a massive prize pool.
Rake race leader boards award points to each participant. These points can be calculated in one of two ways. One way is based on the exact amount of rake you personally contribute, known as a Contributed Rake Race. Another way is to award points for every raked hand a player participates in, known as a Raked Hand Race.
Rake can be generated by playing real-money poker ring games or tournaments. When you pay an entry fee to join a tournament, the fee is counted as rake. For example, a $50+$5 tournament would have a fee of $5. You would be contributing $5 to the rake, thus generating $5 towards the rake race.
Joining in a rake race is not just a great way to earn some extra cash. It also ensures you are profiting consistently from your online poker rakeback deal. If you’re earning the average 30% online poker rakeback, that same $5 tournament fee that gets you closer to the top of the rake race leader board is also going to be worth $1.50 in rakeback.
Rakeback earners can usually view their position on the rake race leader boards at any time, linked directly from the online poker room. For our players, we provide rake race leader boards for all rake races we promote. Depending on the online poker room and rake race in questions, updates are made available on an hourly or daily basis.
